Trip facts

Duration: 19 Days

Country: Nepal

Tukuche Peak (6920 m) is one of the outstanding peak positioned in the western Himalayas of Nepal sandwiched between the Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna ranges. This peak was first ascended by the Swiss team in 1969. It is a challenging peak with exciting trekking trail. As this peak is located in a remote region, only a few summiteers have had attempted this climbing expedition. Nonetheless, it is one of the best peaks in Nepal to witness different ranges of Annapurna, Nilgiri and the Tukuche Peak itself. Other features en-route is views of the stunning village of Marpha, Tukuche, Syang and spectacular view of the Jomsom valley. This peak is graded less risky but one must be fully acclimatized to altitude before summiting.

This 25 days journey begins by visiting few heritage sites of Kathmandu. Next day would be taking a scenic airstrip to Pokhara. Hereafter sightseeing Pokhara valley and spending some time relishing the Phewa Lake boating - the next day we take a flight to Jomsom. Next, we trek to Marpha valley (famous for apple farming) and we will be acclimatizing the altitude here by visiting the local apple wine factory and more. Next day we will be heading to Yak Kharka and also be acclimatizing the following day.

Next day, we trek to Hidden Valley and then head to Tukuche Peak Base Camp. The following few days we will be fully acclimatizing and prepare for the summit. As we are ready, we will conquer the Tukuche Peak and relish the views. After our mission completes, we retrace back to base camp, and then to Hidden Valley, Marpha, to Jomsom, Pokhara and finally to Kathmandu.
