This Sunrise Sunset Tour is chiefly designed for those nature lovers as the sunrise view gives relaxation and the beginning of the new day with full of good fortune. The view of the sunrise and sunset view over the Himalayas will bid you the supreme experience of your lifetime.

On this 10 day tour, you will not only be observing the sunrise and sunset views but also sense some of the several UNESCO World Heritage Site scattered in Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur.

Nepal has many known places to view the sunrise and sunset but we will be visiting particularly famous locations like Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, and Daman. Also, we will be touring the beautiful Pokhara city and reach Sarangkot which is the prominent site to view the sunrise in the Annapurna region. And we will be also be sightseeing some of the sites of Pokhara city. This tour begins with sightseeing some of the heritage sites of Kathmandu. We will start from the Kathmandu Durbar Square. This palace is an antiquated site used by kings in the past to rule over the kingdom. Surrounding this square are many temples which are built in pagodas style. Next one will be the Pashupatinath temple which is one of the significant temples for the Hindus. Thousands of devotees visit this temple from around the world every year. It is also used as a cremation site for Hindus.

After that, we head to the monkey temple which is 3 km away. From this Swayambhunath temple, you get to view the beautiful Kathmandu valley. Then we head to visit the Boudhanath Stupa which is one of the highest stupas in South Asia. Next day, we will be heading to the ancient city Patan and Bhaktapur. In Patan, you can visit some of the temples surrounded by various ancient arts, architecture, and historical monuments. Next would be exploring Bhaktapur city. It is also called as the city of devotees. After exploring this city, we will drive to Nagarkot and as we are scheduled to reach in the mid-evening; we will enjoy the sunset view. The following days we will be exploring other places like Dhulikhel, Daman, and Pokhara.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

As you arrive at the TIA- Tribhuvan International airport our team of the Accent Himalaya Company will welcome you and take you to the respective hotel and after check-in to the hotel, you can take rest and freshen up visit the office of Accent Himalaya. In the evening, we will be hosting a welcome dinner in an authentic Nepali restaurant where they will be serving you the fine Nepali cuisine which will be the introduction of the Nepali culture food.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

After the breakfast we will began our tour by exploring some of the few heritage sites of Kathmandu. Firstly we will be visiting the Kathmandu durbar square one of the ancient king palace. Surrounding this square there are several temples built with fine ancient arts and architecture which was massively destructs by the earthquake occur on 25th April 2015. Next we will visit the sacred Hindu temple as well as the cremations sites of Hindus known Pashupatinath temple. Many Hindu devotees from the different country come to visit this temple. After that we will be visiting the Swambhunath temple where in these area there is lots of monkey wandering around this temple so, it is also known as monkey temple. Next we will be exploring the Boudhanath stupa one of the largest stupa in south Asia and inside this stupa square there are more than 50 monasteries. We will spend our night in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur and sunset views from Nagarkot (2195m/7201ft)

Today we will be exploring the Patan and Bhaktapur city one of the ancient city. In patan we will be exploring the Patan durbar square and this square reveals the ancient arts and architecture as it is the ancient square. Whereas in the Bhaktapur we will be exploring the golden gate, Nyata pola temple, 55 windows palace and the water spout. Then we will drive to the Nagarkot place known for sunrise and sunset view including with the Himalayas view. Reaching Nagarkot we will be enjoying the sunset view with the striking view of the Himalayas. We will spend our night in Nagarkot.

Day 04: Sunrise views, tour Dhulikhel (1,550m/5,085ft) and Panauti

We will wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise view including with the Himalayas view then after the breakfast we will drive to Dulikhel which is the famous town for viewing the Himalayas. From the top of the hill you will get to view several snowcapped peaks including with the Ganesh Himal, mount Langtang, Annapurna, Gaurishanker, Lhotse and many more. After exploring the Dulikhel town we will be drive to small town- Panauti which is close to Dulikhel town and this Panauti town is famous for Triveni Ghats’s a sacred site of Hindus and in this Ghats there are several temples revealing ancient medieval architecture and after exploring this town we will retrace back to Dhulikhel. We will be spending our night in Dhulikhel.

Day 05: Sunrise views, drive to Daman (2,322m 7,620 ft) Daman

Today after the breakfast we will drive to Daman through the dense rhododendron forests. It is one of the best touristic spot and reaching at Daman we will take a rest and enjoy the scenery. We will be walking to the tower and enjoy the view of the Himalayas including with the mighty mountain Everest. After that we will be hiking to the villages and get familiar with the people where you get to explore their culture and their lifestyles. In the evening we will be enjoying a dinner with the cultural dance program. We will spend our night in Daman.

Day 06: Drive to Bandipur (1,030m/3,379 ft)

Early morning we head to the tower of Daman and enjoy the sunrise view. After the breakfast we will drive to Bandipur one of the beautiful town which is situated at the top south of Dumre and on the route to Pokhara we will stop to visit the museum which reveals the Newari culture. The museum is beautifully built with the ancient Newari style architecture and after that we will visit the Sidha cave. We will be hiking for awhile to enjoy the spectacular landscapes. We will spend our night in Bandipur.

Day 07: Drive to Pokhara, city sightseeing

Early morning we will enjoy the sunrise view from Bandipur then we will have our breakfast and drive to Pokhara one of the beautiful city also known as lake city because there are many serene lake in this city. As you arrive at Pokhara you will be rewarded with the outstanding view of the Himalayas including with the mount Manaslu, Machapchre, Dhaulagiri and the range of Annapurna. After that we will check in into the hotel and take a rest for awhile and then we will be roving the Pokhara city. We will spend our night in Pokhara.

Day 08: Sightseeing in Pokhara

Early morning we will head to the Sarangkot hill and here we will enjoy the sunrise view including with the ranges of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. After enjoying the view of the Himalayas we will retrace back down to the pokhara city and then we will be visiting some of the landmarks of pokhara where we will be visiting the Shiva cave which is situated near the Davis fall. After exploring this cave we will head to the Phewa Lake where we will be doing a boating which is the largest lake of Pokhara and in the center of this lake there is a small Hindu temple named Bindyabaseni temple. After that we will be visiting the International mountain museum and Tibetan refugee camp. We will spend our night in Pokhara.

Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu

After the breakfast we drive to Kathmandu city. As during our drive to Kathmandu we will be heading along with the beautiful river bank with the breathtaking scenery, hills and the local Nepali lifestyle. Reaching at the Kathmandu we will drive to the hotel and you can take rest and you can even do souvenir shopping. We will spend our night in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Final departure

Finally, your Nepal sunrise tour comes to an end. The representative of Accent Himalaya will be dropping you at the airport three hours ahead of your flight schedule.

Accommodation

Accent Himalaya manages its best to provide good food and comfortable accommodation. During your tour, standard hotel (rated 2-3 stars) will be provided. However, if you are willing to spend more, we can arrange some luxurious room from 4-5 star hotels.

Meals

All the meals and breakfast required for you are included in our package. Dinner and breakfast will be served in the same lodge where you spend overnight and the team leader or guide will find you a good place for lunch on the way to your destination.

Luggage/Backpack

You will be carrying a small backpack with your water bottle, camera, tissue paper, towel, or other gears that you need to use frequently. The clothes and gears that you don’t need can be packed and left in the locker or safe deposit box in the hotel free of cost.

Normal weight limit at Nepal’s domestic airline is 15 kg including your hand carry and in case you exceed the limit, you need to pay the extra amount which is not included in our package.

Guide

Accent Himalaya provides you a very trained and experienced tour guide who will handle all the logistics and other issues that may emerge during your tour. If you are visiting in a bigger group, we will provide you an additional guide.

Personal Expenses on Trek

Personal expense literally depends upon your personal habit; whether you are alcoholic or non-alcoholic, extravagant or thrifty and so on. Normally, the cost of the meal and accommodation during the trek are covered in our package and you will be liable to pay for table drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages), snacks while trekking, souvenirs, hot shower (available in some places) tips to the guide or porters, meals during your stay at Kathmandu (a normal meal costs $ 5-7 in Kathmandu) as well as the entrance fees during your city tour to different places in Kathmandu (approximately $ 25). Tips to the guide or porter are your personal choice. However, we suggest you give tip and allocate 5-10 percent of your total tour cost if you are satisfied with their service.

Our Greetings at Airport

We advise you to flow the information of your international flight details after you confirm your Trip with Accent Himalaya for our meeting and greetings. Right after you cross the Customs and check out of the terminal building, you will find our representative holding a placard with your name or the name of the company (Accent Himalaya) and drop you to your hotel in a private car. In case you have booked the hotel by yourself, we suggest you inform us in advance the name of the hotel you are about to stay so that our representative can drop you to your hotel and would be easier to meet with the team leader or the guide.

Itinerary and Possible Changes on it

Our normal Itinerary is the most usual and practicable. In the package, the days of your arrival and departure and a day of city tour are also counted. In case you have managed your further schedule, you want to exclude those days and just want us to help you with the trip part, upon your inquiry, we can rearrange and adjust the itinerary according to your wish and let you know about the final cost for the trip.

Also, you can extend your trip if you feel it necessary with consultation with our guide on the way to your destination but we recommend you to finish the trip within the last day mentioned in our package as many unforeseen circumstances may befall at any time.

Booking and Payment

You are required to make 20% (non-refundable) payment in advance in order to confirm and book the trip along with a photocopy of your passport and flight details (arrival detail, flight name, number and time) and the remaining 80% balance is due when you arrive in Nepal. You have an option of paying the advance by bank transfer or credit card. So, do let us know which modes of payment are convenient for you, then we will forward the details of payment.
