This short five-day tour is perfect for those adventurous travelers who have limited holiday and want to explore some of the heritage sites, famous different temples, monuments, and stupas. Lots of spiritual visitors come to explore Kathmandu as this ancient place is also called as the city of temples.

As the valley is surrounded by the three cities Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan and each city have different temples and palaces with different myth. While touring, our well-experienced guide will fill you with adequate knowledge about the myth, why the temple was built, how and so on. Including the heritage sites, we will also be heading to Nagarkot - the best spot to view the sunrise and sunset surrounded by astounding views of the Himalayas.

This tour is also designed as a pilgrimage tour. First, we will be visiting the Kathmandu Durbar Square which is an ancient palace where historical kings used to rule the country. After that, we will visit the Pashupatinath temple. It is also famous cremation site where Hindus believe that cremating here; you get out of the cycle of life and death.

Next, we headed to visit the Swambhunath temple which is pilgrimage site both for Hindus and Buddhist. Then we head to the largest stupa i.e. Boudhanath stupa. Next day, we will be exploring other areas visiting numerous temples and shrines. Next day we head to Nagarkot for fine-looking sunrise and sunset views.

Day 01: Arrival & Overnight in Kathmandu

As you land at the Tribhuvan International airport of Kathmandu and completing all the process of all the custom formalities like Visa and passport etc. after that you looked for the signboard of the Accent Himalaya as they will be waiting you outside the exit gate. Then our representative of the Accent Himalaya will greet you and take you to the respective hotel category in three or five star hotel and then you can freshen up and take some rest. In the evening the company of the Accent Himalaya will be hosting a welcome dinner in the fine Nepali restaurant which serves the typical Nepali dish.

Day 02: KTM Sightseeing Tour: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhu, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath

After the breakfast we will start our tour by visiting the 4 main UNESCO world heritage sites of Kathmandu which are Kathmandu Durbar Square is the palace where the earlier kings holds this square and ruled over this country. It is beautifully built with ancient arts and architecture. Next we will be visiting the Swambhunath temple to visitors also known as monkey temple where in this area there are lots of monkey wandering around this temple and in the top of the temple there is a stupa which is said to be the ancient stupa of Nepal. Next will be the Pashupatinath temple one of the sacred temple of Hindus which is located near the Baghmati River as this site is also the cremation sites of Hindus. After that we will be visiting the largest stupa in south Asia known as Boudhanath stupa where you can find thousands of prayer wheels surrounding the stupa.


Day 03: Sightseeing Tour: Patan, Khokana, Bungmati, And Sunset at Nagarkot

Today after the breakfast we will be visiting some of the cultural landmarks of Patan one of the ancient city of Nepal as this city is also recognized as fine arts and architecture where we will be visiting the ancient temples, palaces and many more cultural sites. After that we will be visiting the ancient village named Khokana which is also listed in the UNESCO world heritage sites, next we will be heading to visit the Bungmati village where you can find ancient villages surrounding with the medieval temple and exploring this village we take a drive to the Nagarkot which is 32 kilometer from the east of the Kathmandu at the altitude of 2175 meter. The place is famous for viewing the sunrise and sunset view and today we will be spending our night in nagarkot to enjoy the sunset view and in the morning relish the sunrise view.


Day 04: Sightseeing: Nagarkot Sunrise, Changu Narayan & Bhaktapur

Early morning we will head to the hill station of Nagarkot to enjoy the sunrise view and then we will retrace down and enjoy our breakfast and then we will head to Changu Nayan where our trail passes through villages and the farmlands where you can observe the local farmers working in the fields. Next we will be heading to the Bhaktapur city – medieval city and here we will the visiting the ancient durbar square which is listed in the UNESCO world heritage sites. We will spend our night in Kathmandu.

Day 05: Fly Home, Transfer to Airport.

Your 5 days tour finally comes to an end. As today you can do shopping and pack your luggage and our representative from the Accent Himalaya will come to pick you up from the hotel and make sure that you have packed all your belongings. Then the representative will be dropping you at the airport three hours earlier than your flight schedule. Accent Himalaya manages its best to provide good food and comfortable accommodation. During your tour, standard hotel (rated 2-3 stars) will be provided. However, if you are willing to spend more, we can arrange some luxurious room from 4-5 star hotels.


All the meals and breakfast required for you are included in our package. Dinner and breakfast will be served in the same lodge where you spend overnight and the team leader or guide will find you a good place for lunch on the way to your destination.


You will be carrying a small backpack with your water bottle, camera, tissue paper, towel, or other gears that you need to use frequently. The clothes and gears that you don’t need can be packed and left in the locker or safe deposit box in the hotel free of cost.

Normal weight limit at Nepal’s domestic airline is 15 kg including your hand carry and in case you exceed the limit, you need to pay the extra amount which is not included in our package.


Accent Himalaya provides you a very trained and experienced tour guide who will handle all the logistics and other issues that may emerge during your tour. If you are visiting in a larger group, we will provide you an additional guide.

Personal Expenses on Trek

Personal expense literally depends upon your personal habit; whether you are alcoholic or non-alcoholic, extravagant or thrifty and so on. Normally, the cost of the meal and accommodation during the trek are covered in our package and you will be liable to pay for table drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages), snacks while trekking, souvenirs, hot shower (available in some places) tips to the guide or porters, meals during your stay at Kathmandu (a normal meal costs $ 5-7 in Kathmandu) as well as the entrance fees during your city tour to different places in Kathmandu (approximately $ 25). Tips to the guide or porter are your personal choice. However, we suggest you give tip and allocate 5-10 percent of your total tour cost if you are satisfied with their service.

Our Greetings at Airport

We advise you to flow the information of your international flight details after you confirm your Trip with Accent Himalaya for our meeting and greetings. Right after you cross the Customs and check out of the terminal building, you will find our representative holding a placard with your name or the name of the company (Accent Himalaya) and drop you to your hotel in a private car. In case you have booked the hotel by yourself, we suggest you inform us in advance the name of the hotel you are about to stay so that our representative can drop you to your hotel and would be easier to meet with the team leader or the guide.

Itinerary and Possible Changes on it

Our normal Itinerary is the most usual and practicable. In the package, the days of your arrival and departure and a day of city tour are also counted. In case you have managed your further schedule, you want to exclude those days and just want us to help you with the trip part, upon your inquiry, we can rearrange and adjust the itinerary according to your wish and let you know about the final cost for the trip.

Also, you can extend your trip if you feel it necessary with consultation with our guide on the way to your destination but we recommend you to finish the trip within the last day mentioned in our package as many unforeseen circumstances may befall at any time.

Booking and Payment

You are required to make 20% (non-refundable) payment in advance in order to confirm and book the trip along with a photocopy of your passport and flight details (arrival detail, flight name, number and time) and the remaining 80% balance is due when you arrive in Nepal. You have an option of paying the advance by bank transfer or credit card. So, do let us know which modes of payment are convenient for you, then we will forward the details of payment.
