Kathmandu Pokhara and Nagarkot  Tour

Overview

Kathmandu and Pokhara are the best destinations and hotspot for tourists to wander around.

 

One can see many tourists from different countries roaming around these two beautiful cities where you feel like you are in your hometown.

Pokhara city is at an elevation of 915 meters is the best location to spot the Himalayas with the sunrise view and experience a small hiking to the Sarangkot valley where you get the amazing view of the entire Himalayas. You even get to perceive the Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri ranges. We will be also sightseeing the Pokhara city, relishing at Fewa Lake and other sites. This tour is only a 7-day tour where you will be traveling to the most beautiful location of these two cites.

Kathmandu is very much famous for exploring the diverse heritage sites of Nepal. At Kathmandu valley, we will be visiting the four heritage sites exploring the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Temple and the Boudhanath Stupa on the first day. The next day, we will visit the ancient medieval cities Patan and the Bhaktapur which is famed for ancient arts and architecture and the typical culture. And in the mid-afternoon, we head to Nagarkot where one get the magnificence view of the Himalayas amidst twilight.

The following day, we head early morning to enjoy the sunrise view and drive to the Pokhara valley. Next day, we would wake up early and be hiking to the Sarangkot valley where one gets the beautiful view of the entire Annapurna peaks, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail peaks and other several peaks, visit the Davis fall, Mahindra cave, Museum and Tibetan refugee camp etc. This trip also includes boating in Fewa lake and exploring this beautiful city. We drive back to Kathmandu and next day leave to own respective destination.

Kathmandu and Pokhara tour can be done effortlessly; one can schedule it during spring on the month of March to May and fall on the month of September to December. If you don’t like to take a trip during this crowded season, you can even do in the winter from the month of January and February. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

As you arrive at Kathmandu airport, our representative will pick up you and drop you at your respective hotel. After you freshen up, we will visit the office of Accent Himalaya. You will be invited to welcome dinner in the evening hosted by Accent Himalaya with delicious and typical Nepalese cuisine which introduces you to taste and culture of Nepal.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath and Bauddhanath

After having our breakfast, we will visit the UNESCO world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley. 

Pashupati Chhetra: -  Hindus most religious/pilgrimage temple of Lord Shiva where millions of pilgrims visited every year. The special days where lots of crowds come together in the temple are Mahashivaratri, Hindus festival Teej, and every Monday. 

Swayambhunath: - Religious and pilgrimage place for both Hindu and Buddhist. Peoples visit the temple for peace in the world. 

Boudhanath: - Worlds’ largest Stupa; Boudhanath was completely destroyed in the earthquake of April 2015 and now it is completely reconstituted and reconstructed. Now, it is major attraction site for visitors in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu Durbar square: - It catches the wonderful history of Kathmandu and its kingdom and leaders of the valley. Kathmandu Durbar square is full of history and arts of the Newari communities. The wonderful architecture and the arts are so impressive. The sculpture in the area crafted without using any modern equipment in wood and stone is very impressive.

Day 03: Sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur and Sunset views from Nagarko

After having our breakfast, we start to explore the Kathmandu valley for the second day, in which day we visit the world heritage site of Kathmandu valley, like Patan Durbar Square & Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Patan Durbar Square is prosperous in ancient arts and architectures. We visit the area of Patan then head to Bhaktapur, an irresistible city with an authentic local living style preserved over the centuries of isolation from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu.

In the Square, we get to admire the Golden Gate, Nyota-Pola temple, water Spouts and 55 windows palace which merge together to provide an ambiance of a magical outdoor theater to its visitors. We also immerse ourselves in the authentic and typical delicacy of the locals in Bhaktapur before driving towards Nagarkot, village/hill station renowned for its sunrise and sunset views of the Himalayas, where we enjoy the spectacular sunset views amidst the Himalayas.

Day 04: Sunrise view from Nagarkot then drive to Pokhara: 213km, 6-7 hours

Early in the morning, we catch the views of spectacular scenes of Sunrise up the mighty Himalayas. Then we take our breakfast and leave Nagarkot and Kathmandu for Pokhara. Pokhara is also known as the City of Lake owing the large numbers of lakes in the surrounding valley. Upon arriving in Pokhara valley, we are offered with magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Five peaks of Annapurna range, Manaslu (8156 m), Fishtail (6993 m) and many other high peaks of the surrounding Himalayan ranges. After resting in the hotel, we stroll in the street of Pokhara which is one of the most beautiful town in Nepal and has amazing Lakeside views (esp in the evening).

Day 05: Sightseeing in Pokhara

Early in the morning, we leave the hotel for Sarangkot - a Hill Station that overlooks the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges in the north and Pokhara city in the south, also from where we catch amazing scene of the sunrise over from the mighty Himalayas. Then we drive back to Pokhara and continue to explore the valley and the landmarks. 

Davis Fall, a unique waterfall that directly flows into a narrow and deep canal which has no ends. The Shiva Cave is located near Davis Fall and houses a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva - the primary figure in Hindu Scripture. Then we return to Phewa lake for boating and visiting the Tal Barahi Temple in the middle of the Lake. After those water entertainment, we visit the famous International Mountain Museum (IMM), recording, documenting and chronicling the past and present developments of mountaineering activities in the world and the Himalayas in particular. Then we also tour the Tibetan Refugee Camp and witness how they keep themselves busy by producing and trading woolen products and other handicrafts.

Day 06: Drive to Kathmandu

After having our breakfast, we have to leave the most beautiful city and the northern skyline of Pokhara and drive heading towards Kathmandu. We have to drive alongside the river Trisuli which presents amazing views of mountains and peaks covered with snow, green landscapes and the leveled farm fields. After reaching Kathmandu, we have to take rest as for long drive. Then we can go for souvenir shopping. In the evening, we will celebrate the success party of the trip and also enjoy the farewell dinner.

Day 07: Final departure

Today we are finally going to be separated with most wandering and unforgettable memories witnessing Nepal Exploration. Our representative will drop you at the Tribhuwan International Airport before 3 hours to your flight.
