Nepal Experience Tour

Overview

Nepal is a beautiful country, perfect for traveling and is well-known for abundant cultural heritage sites. Even the highest peak Mount Everest is located here and also is the mystical land where Lord Buddha was born. There are more than 100 tribal groups here for you to explore many different cultures. This tour is an easy tour with moderate altitude so any travelers with no age limit can tour around this beautiful country.

Here, we will be trekking the Annapurna region to the Poon Hill. You don’t need to worry about the altitude of each day, we will be acclimatizing and head forward to the hill station to get the spectacular views of the entire Annapurna range and several other peaks. As in Kathmandu city, we will be sightseeing some of the heritage sites.

As this experience tour begins from Kathmandu visiting four UNESCO world heritage sites. The Kathmandu Durbar Square is a palace built with beautiful ancient arts and architecture. The other one is the Pashupatinath temple which is a holy site for Hindus. Next is the Boudhanath stupa which happens to be the biggest and highest stupa in South Asia. Lastly, we will be visiting the Swayambhunath temple (also known as monkey temple) where you get to observe lots of monkey in this temple.

Next, we take an airstrip to Pokhara - a beautiful city and the best hub for tourists. From here, we drive to Nayapul for 6 hours. We start trekking by crossing some of the regions of Annapurna like Ghorepani and head to the Poon hill to enjoy the spectacular views of the Annapurna mountain range and several other peaks. From here, we retrace back to Pokhara and early next morning head to Sarangkot to perceive more of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. We also visit the Davis fall and do boating at the Phewa Lake in Pokhara and drive to Chitwan later.

In Chitwan, we would be doing some adventurous activities like elephant back safari in Chitwan national park and even visit some stables of elephant and enjoy observing elephants taking bath. Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m/4,264 ft)

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International airport, you will be welcomed by our team Accent Himalaya and drop you to the hotel. After checking in into hotel, you can take rest and freshen up or visit the office of Accent Himalaya in Thamel. In the evening, Accent Himalaya will be hosting a welcome dinner in a fine Nepali restaurant to serve you mouth-watering Nepali dish - an introduction to Nepali food culture. We will spend our night in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Scenic Mt. Everest Flight and Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today morning - we will head to the airport and take a mountain flight and enjoy the aerial view where we will get the picturesque view of highest mountain Everest, & Kanchenjunga and several other snow-capped peaks including slight glimpses of the Tibetan plateau. After enjoying our mountain flight, we will head back to Kathmandu city. 

Later in the afternoon, we will be visiting several heritage sites enlisted in the UNESCO world heritage sites of Kathmandu like the Durbar Square. In brief, Durbar is the ancient palace where Malla king used to rule over Nepal long back. Next will visit the Pashupatinath temple - a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. After that, we will explore Swayambhunath temple - a holy site both for Buddhists and Hindus. Simply for visitors, this temple is also known to be as monkey temple. Later we will visit the Boudhanath stupa - the best spot for tourists. We will spend our night in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara and trek to Ulleri (2050 m/6725 ft): 30 min flight and 6 hours trek

Today in morning, we take a flight to Pokhara capturing the breathtaking top view of the Himalayas from the right side of our seat. As soon as you arrive at Pokhara - a beautiful lake, the city offers the spectacular view of Himalayas including with mount Manaslu, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna ranges. 

We will relax for awhile and drive to Nayapul and from here we will commence our trek. Our trails where we will be heading is through the dense subtropical forests and then we will have lunch and continue our trek and after that, we will be crossing the Modi Khola- river through a suspension bridge and then we will reach Tikhedunga village. We will then head to the Ulleri hills with lots of stones on the trail. We will spend our night in Ulleri.

Day 04: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2750 m/ 9020 ft): 4 - 5 hours trek

Today after breakfast we will be climbing up to the Ghorepani village. Its name is derived as Ghore means horse and Pani means water so altogether it is called Ghorepani or horse water. Earlier it was stop for horse traders and no it is the campsite for the trekkers. Ghoreapani is a small village where you can see the local people selling their local products. The town is divided into two sections one is in the high hill and the other one is in lowland but we will be heading to the higher hill to capture few snow capped peaks including with the Nilgiri and Annapurna Mountain. In evening it will be bit cold because we will be stopping at the high altitude. We will spend our night in Ghorepani.

Day 05: Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860 ft): 6 - 7 hours

Today we will be catching the glimpse of mesmerizing sunrise view including with the Himalayas for that we have to wake up early morning and ascend on a steep trail and head towards the view point known Poon hill station which is at the altitude of 3210 meter. This spot is the well known of the Annapurna region where many trekkers visit this region where one get to view splendid view of mount Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and several snowcapped peaks. After spending some time on this view point we will retrace back to Ghorepani. Then we will have breakfast and ascend close to the ridge and then we will be descending down via rhododendron forests alongside with the cascading waterfall and then we will reach at Tadapani. We will be spending our night in Tadapani.

Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940m/6,360 ft): 3 - 4 hours

Today we will descend through a steep trail via lush forests. Today we will trek through dense forests of rhododendron and if you are travelling during the spring season than you get to observe rhododendron flowers blooming all over the trail. We will then trekking to the entrance of the village of Ghadruk it is the beautiful village with few settlements which are mostly inhabited by the Gurung communities. On the way we will also viewing the most beautiful mountain of Annapurna which is Hiunchuli, Fishtail and Annapurna south. Here we also get a chance to explore the Gurung communities’ culture and their traditions and visit the Gurung museum.

Day 07: Ghandruk to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft): 4-hour trek and 1-hour’s drive

Today we will be trekking from Ghadruk village and head towards the Nayapul and from here we take a drive to Pokhara. As today trek we will head downhill to Birethanti. We will then trekking to the stair case via stone slabs and head towards the village following terraced fields. Continuing trekking and then we will be crossing the Modi River and then we will reach at Birethanti and from Birethanti we will walk for awhile and then we finally reached at Nayapul. Then from here we take a drive to Nayapul towards Pokhara. We will spend our night in Pokhara.

Day 08: Sightseeing in Pokhara

Today morning we will be heading to Sarangkot hill where one gets to view the breathtaking view of mount Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges and the beautiful Pokhara lake city. We will be enjoying some time in this hill viewing the several mountain of Annapurna with the reflection of sunrise view. Then we will retrace back down to the valley of Pokhara and from Pokhara we will be exploring some of the landmarks of Pokhara which are Davis fall, Shiva cave and then we will head to explore the serene lake named Phewa Lake. In this lake we will be even doing boating and in the center of this lake there is a sacred Hindu temple named Bindyabaseni and then you can explore this temple and observe the Hindu religious rituals and all. After that we will be visiting other sites like international mountain museum which has a earlier records of past and present mountaineering activities and also visit the Tibetan refugee camp. We will spend our night in Pokhara.

Day 09: Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan (815 m/2,674 ft): 134km/4-5 hours

Today after having our breakfast we will be leaving Pokhara and drive to Chitwan district which is well known for Chitwan national park –Nepal first national park and this site is also listed in the UNESCO world heritage sites. When we reach at Chitwan we will be walking on the park and enjoy diverse flora and fauna of national park and observe varied birds of Chitwan national park. In evening the staff of this park will be displaying a small presentation of diverse flora and fauna of Chitwan National park. We will spend our night in Chitwan.

Day 10: Chitwan National Park

Today we will be touring Chitwan national park where we will first riding on an elephants back and head to the forests and enjoy the ride as well as observing the wildlife animals of national park. Afternoon we will be riding a canoe and ride on the Rapti river and we will get to observe dolphins, crocodiles, gharials and some aquatic birds. We can also enjoying walk to the park and observe different species of birds. We will spend our night in Chitwan.

Day 11: Drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu: 127km, 4-5 hours

Today morning we will enjoy observing different types of birds of Chitwan national park. After breakfast we will drive towards Kathmandu. During our drive we will be crossing the Terai plain which is close to Chitwan district through the windy trail. By evening we will reach at Kathmandu and then our staff will drive you to the hotel. In evening the company will be hosting a farewell dinner for the successful of the trip

Day 12: Final Departure

Today finally your journey in Nepal comes to an end. Our representative from the Accent Himalaya will be dropping you at the airport three hours earlier than your flight schedule.
