Overview

This tour takes you to the most beautiful Himalayan country - Nepal and India. This 10 days tour is the best short tour and specially designed for those travelers who want to explore the rich cultures and visit ancient landmarks, beautiful architecture sites like the elegant Taj Mahal, Red Fort and many other unique beautiful sites of these two magnificent countries.

We will be sightseeing some of the heritage sites in Kathmandu. This combined tour can be done by everyone with family members, a group of friends, solo and also is fit for elderly people and children.

We begin our tour from Delhi – the most crowded city after Mumbai.

We will be sightseeing Delhi by visiting some of the landmarks such as Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in Delhi built by the Mughal emperor. After exploring this mosque, we will be visiting several landmarks like Red Fort, Humayun tomb, etc. Next day, we head to Jaipur city where on the way, we will be visiting a site having a statue of Lord Shiva. After reaching Jaipur, we will be strolling around the city and visit the Hawah Mahal (palace) and the Jaigarh Fort.

The next day, we will continue sightseeing some other palaces, forts, and temples. We will also be riding an elephant and stroll around the handicraft stores to get an exclusive Indian handicrafts products. And next day, we will be heading to the Agra city and explore some of the best spots of Agra, - visiting the magnificent Taj Mahal and several other landmarks of Agra. We then drive to Delhi and then from there, we head to Kathmandu.

In Nepal, we will be only be sightseeing Kathmandu by visiting some of the popular heritage sites. The next day, we take an airstrip to Bhadrapur and drive to Darjeeling. While on the drive, you get the slight views of the landscape of beautiful Darjeeling. After sightseeing Darjeeling, we retrace back to Bagdogra and take an airstrip to Delhi. From here, we fly back to own respective destination.

As we the Accent Himalaya arrange this trip every year all around, there’s no such specific season but most of the travelers prefer in spring (March-May) and autumn (September-October). It’s up to your holiday schedule. Day 01: Arrival in Delhi (India)

Upon your arrival at Delhi airport, our representative of the Accent Himalaya will greet you and take you to the hotel. Afterwards, in the evening you can stroll around the bustling Delhi market. We will spend our night in Delhi.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Delhi

Today after the breakfast, we will tour Delhi by visiting some of the unique landmarks of Delhi.  Delhi city is one of the crowded cities with lots of population. We will start with India gate - this gate was constructed in the memory of 82,000 soldiers who lost their lives during First World War. Next is Jama Masjid - constructed by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and it is the largest mosque in India. Next is red fort - an ancient fort of India. Next will be Humayun Tomb and many other sites. We will spend our night in Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi to Jaipur: 265 km, 5 hours

Today we will leave Delhi and head to Jaipur. On the way, we will stop and visit the huge Lord Shiva Statue. Reaching Jaipur city (also known as Pink City), we will check in into the hotel. We will explore Jaipur and get familiar with the local people and their lifestyles. After that, we will be visiting the city palace like Jaigarh forts, Amber, Hawa Mahal. Next, we will be wandering around Jaipur city streets visiting some of the souvenir shops like camel leather slipper, etc. We will spend our night in Jaipur.

Day 04: Sightseeing in Jaipur

Today on the fourth day of our tour, we will visit some of the landmarks of Jaipur such as Nahar Garh Fort, Ram Bagh Palace, Jal Mahal and the Birla temple. Later we will ride on elephants back and after that we will visit handicraft market which showcases beautiful unique hand made products as this market is well known for selling unique handicraft products. We will spend our night in Jaipur.

Day 05: Jaipur to Agra: 251km, 2 hours

On the fifth day after breakfast, we will be heading to Agra city which is known for the elegant Taj Mahal.  We will visit this Mahal - palace which was constructed by Mughal emperor named Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved late wife Mumtaz. After that we will visit the Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Etmad – Ul –Ah and the Fatehpur Sikri. Later we will wander around the handicraft market. We will spend our night in Agra.

Day 06: Drive to Delhi airport then fly to Kathmandu: 205km, 4 hours drive, 90 minutes flight

Today we will be heading Delhi airport and take a flight to Kathmandu. After landing at the airport, our representative of Accent Himalaya will greet us and take us to the hotel. You can relax for awhile in your hotel room and later can wander around Thamel streets - the best tourist spot with lots of souvenir shops and some of the antiques. We will spend our night in Kathmandu.

Day 07: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Today after breakfast, we will be sightseeing Kathmandu exploring some of the UNESCO world heritage such as Kathmandu Durbar Square - an ancient palace of Kathmandu. Surrounding this square are several temples which were destructed by the earthquake occur during 25th April 2015. From 12th to 18th century the Malla Empire who ruled over this country used this square as the royal palace. Next will visit the Swambhunath temple (also recognized as monkey temple) because the temple area is occupied with abundant monkeys roaming around. Next, we make to visit the Pashupatinath temple - a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. After that, we will be visiting the Boudhanath stupa - the largest stupa in the whole world. We will spend our night in Kathmandu.

Day 08: Fly to Bhadrapur then drive to Darjeeling: 135 km, 4 hours

This day, early morning we take a flight to Bhadrapur and drive to Darjeeling - the Indian town hill also known as the queen of hills. From these hills, one get the magnificent views of Mount Kanchenjunga. This small town is famous for harvesting tea plantation and the teas grown in Darjeeling are even exported to other countries. We will spend our night in Darjeeling.

Day 09: Sightseeing in Darjeeling

We will wake up early morning and head to the tiger hill to enjoy the lovely sunrise view and then visit the Ghoom monastery which was constructed in 1850 by Sherub Lama Gyatso from Mongolia. And on the way, we will visit the Himalaya mountain organization established to promote mountaineering sports. After that, we will visit Peace pagoda, Darjeeling toy train, etc.  After that, we will wander around the tea garden and feel the aroma of fresh tea leaves. We will spend our night in Darjeeling.

Day 10: Final departure: drive to Bagdogra airport then fly to Delhi: 95km, 3 hours

We will head to the Bagdora airport and take a flight to Delhi. From there, you can take a flight to your own destination.
